GCSD Pre-Kindergarten-Early Learning

Pre-Kindergarten Program Information: 

• Students must turn 4 on or before September 1, 2024.  Proof of age will be required.
• Students who qualify for Head Start Program are not eligible to participate in GCSD Pre-K program.
• Students must reside in George County School District and must attend the Pre-K program within their School District Attendance Zone.  Proofs of residency must be presented for verification.
• A nonrefundable tuition fee of $500 must be paid on or before June 13, 2024 at GCSD District Office, 494 Cowart Street.   If not paid by this date, your child will lose placement position.
• Student daily transportation to and from school must be provided by the parent or guardian. 
• Full day pre-kindergarten program Monday through Friday. 
• Student placement will be determined by a drawing that will be held the week of March 18, 2024 and notification of placement will be made.
• Registration will take place in June. 2 new current proofs must be submitted at Registration.
• The Placement Request Form is an application for placement only. It does not guarantee a spot in the George County School District Pre-K program. You will be notified if your child’s name is drawn for placement in the pre-kindergarten class.
• Students will be considered for placement in the Pre-k program at the school in the attendance zone the student resides as verified by Proofs of Residency. In the event that openings are available at other schools, students outside the attendance zone will be offered placement. However, the student will be expected to enroll in the school of attendance zone when entering Kindergarten.
